Wang Guilin 王桂林 was a veteran stage actor when he made his screen debut in 1920, in a supporting role in "Gold in the Wasteland" for the Commercial Press Motion Division, after which he moved over to the New Asia studio to play one of the heavies in the classic action mystery, "Women Skeletons." After returning to the stage for several years, Wang resumed movie work in 1927, appearing in several martial arts fantasies during the peak of that genre's popularity.
